Sliding Privacy Screens
How does the sliding screen work?
The panel slides smoothly along a rail system, allowing you to position it exactly where you need shade or privacy - and move it again as the sun shifts throughout the day.
Do I need to buy the track system separately?
Yes. The track system is sold separately. Each track set includes two stabilising feet to secure the screen at the bottom.
What is the difference between the standard screen and the screen with an aluminium frame?
Both work the same way - they slide along a rail system. The difference is in the frame: one uses a pine wood frame, the other uses an anodized aluminium profile (30×30 mm), which is rust-proof and suitable for outdoor use all year round. Both models are delivered untreated - you choose your preferred colour or finish.
What sizes are available for sliding screens?
The standard pine wood screen is available in widths of 100 cm and 50 cm. The aluminium frame model is available in heights of 100, 150, and 200 cm, all with a width of 93 cm.
Does it arrive assembled?
No, it is delivered as a DIY kit in two boxes - one with the wooden slats and one with the frame components - including all necessary screws.
Is one panel enough for a full terrace?
Often just one or two panels are enough to cover an entire terrace or pergola, depending on the size.
Can the slats be tilted?
No, the slat position is static and cannot be tilted.
What is a freestanding privacy screen and how is it different from a sliding screen?
Freestanding Privacy Screens (Gen. 1 and Gen. 2) stand independently on wooden legs and do not require a rail system. You can place them anywhere - on a terrace, next to a pool, a garden shower, or any open space - with no mounting or installation required.
What is the difference between Gen. 1 and Gen. 2?
Both models are freestanding and require no rail system. The difference is in the construction of the slats. See the individual product pages for full details.
Can I use a freestanding screen next to a pool or garden shower?
Yes - this is one of the ideal uses. Simply place one or two screens wherever you need privacy, with no installation required.
Are freestanding screens stable in wind?
The wooden legs provide stability on flat surfaces. In strong wind conditions, we recommend moving the screens to a sheltered spot or securing them additionally.
Wooden Blinds
Can the slats be tilted?
No, the slats are fixed and cannot be tilted like Venetian blinds.
Can I order custom sizes?

Can they be installed on slanted attic windows?
No, the blinds are designed to hang vertically only.
Are wooden blinds suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. They are made of durable pine wood built to withstand occasional rain and wind. The surface is varnished and can be repainted if the colour fades over time.
How do I install a wooden blind?
The blind includes 2 mounting eyelets. Drive or screw hooks into a beam or board, screw the eyelets into the top slat, and hang. The blind can be raised and lowered using the central cord, with an integrated metal brake to stop it at any height.
How much roll diameter should I expect?
Approximately 12 cm for a 100 cm length blind, and approximately 17 cm for a 220 cm length.
Why should I choose an exterior blind over an interior one?
Up to 80% of heat enters a home through windows. An exterior blind stops the sun before it reaches the glass, lowering room temperature by 5–7°C — so you can stay comfortable even on 30°C+ days.
Bamboo Blinds
Can I order custom sizes?

Can bamboo blinds be used outdoors?
Yes, but with care. For balconies, terraces, or garden pavilions we recommend treating the blind with a wood preservative oil before outdoor use. If the blind is rolled up, let it dry thoroughly before rolling it back down.
How do I operate the blind?
Simply lower the blind to your desired height and lock it in place with a move to the right. The cord mechanism is straightforward and requires no tools.
How do I install it?
The package includes the blind and two hooks. Screw or drive the hooks into a beam or board, then hang the blind. Installation takes just a few minutes.
What's included in the package?
Each blind comes with the bamboo blind itself and two mounting hooks.
Canopies
Is the bamboo canopy waterproof?
No. The canopy is made of natural bamboo and is not waterproof. We recommend treating it with a protective wood oil. For rain protection, combine it with a polycarbonate roof or remove it during rainy periods. We recommend storing it indoors for winter.
How long does installation take?
Around 30 minutes. No special tools required.
Can I adjust the shading during the day?
Yes - thanks to the sliding suspension, you can easily extend or retract the canopy as the sun moves or the weather changes.
Can the slats be tilted?
No, the slats are fixed.
Can I order custom sizes?

Credit card, GoPay, PayPal, and bank transfer. No additional fees apply for any payment method.
How does bank transfer work?
After placing your order you will receive our bank details. We ship only after the payment has been credited to our account. Please use your order number as the variable symbol. Note that bank transfers may take a few days to process.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase date. Please ensure that the product is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging for a successful return. Kindly refer to our Returns Policy on our website for detailed instructions on initiating a return.
How do I return an item?
Email us at info@pedrolamelo.com to initiate the return. Then pack the goods securely and send them to: Vingo s.r.o., Heydukova 349, 386 01 Strakonice, Czech Republic. Please let us know once you have shipped the package.
How do I exchange an item?
Contact us first at info@pedrolamelo.com to agree on the exchange details. Send the original item to our address and once received and inspected, we will send the new item promptly.

Which countries do you ship to?
We currently deliver to Germany, Austria, France, and Italy.
How much does shipping cost?
GLS shipping is free. DPD shipping costs €5.00. All prices include VAT.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. After dispatch, delivery times depend on your location and chosen shipping method. GLS delivers Monday to Friday and will notify you via SMS or email with an estimated one-hour delivery window on the day of delivery.
What are the maximum parcel dimensions for GLS?
Maximum longest side: 200 cm. Maximum total dimensions (2× width + 2× height + length): 300 cm. Maximum weight: 30 kg.
